Betty Carter's Refrigerator Pickles |
Ingredients:

12 pounds very small cucumbers
1 onion -- sliced
4 cups sugar
4 cups vinegar
1/2 cup salt
1 1/3 tablespoons celery seed
1 1/3 tablespoons mustard seed
1 1/3 teaspoons turmeric
Slice cucumbers and onion and place in gallon jars. Mix remaining
ingredients well. Pour mixture over cucumbers. Screw lids on tightly.
Place in refrigerator. Let stand 5 days before tasting. Will keep for a
year.
